20-year-old Nikoleta Yaneva from Kazanlak is among the photo models that will present Bulgaria at a big competition in Milan. The forum will be held from June 4 to June 10, which the Italian fashion capital announces the Photography Week.

Nikoleta is part of the project “I am a Bulgarian”, a work of the photographer Gabrovo Radoslav Parvanov. The young master has embraced the natural beauty of his models without any excess makeup.

A total of 20 young Bulgarians, who pose in national costumes in front of some of the country’s biggest landmarks, participate in the selected competition. This is a new, unconventional experience to promote the beauties and the opportunities for tourism that Bulgaria has.

The photo of Nikoleta Yaneva is one of the emblems of Bulgaria - The Rose Valley. The project includes pictures taken in the Old Plovdiv, Etara, the Palace in Balchik, Tsarevets, Zheravna, Arbanassi, Koprivshtitsa, Bozhentsi, The Monument of Freedom at Mount St. Nicholas and many others.

The clothing of the models presents the characteristics of the different folklore areas in Bulgaria. Apart from the jury in the competition, on 9 June, the exhibition “I am a Bulgarian” will be seen by many foreign tourists who visit Milan’s Lombardy Square.
