Armenian Apostolic Church Surp Kevork
Originally an eastern orthodox church devoted to St. George, it was turned over to the Armenian Eparchy in 1767, after which it underwent several reconstructions until it gained its current appearance. The church is home to several valuable icons, among which an icon of the Virgin Mary painted at the end of the 18th century by an unknown Armenian iconographer. The crypt of this church contains a collection of crucifixes, handwritten bibles, chalices, breviaries, reliquaries and other artifacts – a museum exhibition that is unique in both Bulgaria and in the world.
